OPM Appreciation :>

After a heartbreak, we try an awful lot of things just to forget. Yes, time might do good for you as well as friends, focusing on your studies, finding new hobbies and pretty much just occupying your time. But we all know (and we sometimes deny it) that you can only completely get over a certain heartbreak once you find love again.

And once you fall again, you’ll see yourself in the same pattern, happy and in love and like nothing can separate you and your partner, there will be promises of forever and this feeling can go on for months or years and then you’ll get bored and tired of the same things and problems would pile up and both of you will give up, eventually it leads to another heartbreak.

That’s the sad truth. Love is the most beautiful thing in the world but it seems that pain is always attached to it.

…and the cycle goes on. 

Digital Perm.

I needed a drastic hairstyle change. Regalo ko sa sarili ko for my 19th birthday. Got it done at Beauty Brick, Makati. It costs 3.5k. Much cheaper than T&J. I’ve read some good reviews online but my hair didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. I can’t blame them, virgin hair kasi and talagang bagsak lang ang buhok ko and forever mahirap kulutin so medyo nagstraight na siya compared nung bagong perm. The average time for a perm is 3-4 hours and mine took 6 hours! Imagine, ayaw talagang magpakulot ng buhok ko. Haha.  

Regarding the salon, there was only one hairdresser, Mr. Shin and a lot of helpers, he takes care of everything, from the haircut to the style, he doesn’t speak tagalog so you need to talk to translators to communicate with him. Malas lang talaga ako kasi weekend ako pumunta and malapit na mag-holidays kaya madaming customers kahit nagpa-appointment ako, sabi nila hindi daw talaga ganun kadami pag normal na araw. 

Over all, for my first perm, pwede na. I recommend Beauty Brick. ;)

Got the most unexpected visitor today. My ex. Didn’t see that coming at all. It’s been a long time since we acknowledged each other’s presence. We talked, went to moonleaf, had milk tea and I finally got the closure I needed. No fights. I heard his side and he heard mine. And I was actually okay, not hurt, but really okay. No more deep emotions. No anger. No bitterness. We talked about recent events, what’s going on with each other’s lives, our families, etc. and it felt nice catching up. 

I’m just happy I finally proved to myself that I’ve moved on. Best. Feeling. Ever. 

I’m ending 2011 right and will welcome 2012 with a fresh start. I’m ready! ^^,

Made a huge impact on my life. It’s the year that I’ll never forget. 

• Been a part of UST’s Quadricentennial Celebration
• Joined UAPSA Congress
• Got my Lumix and Laptop
• Part of the best section yet
• Got drunk for the first time. The what-the-hell-happened-last-night type of drunk. Haha.
• Had my first Cig
• Got into Dean’s list
• Trip to abroad with Archi peeps
• Had my family complete after a long time
• Witness my brother’s wedding
• Had a new family member
• Went clubbing
• Permed. Got my hair devirginized
• Been in the highest peak in being in love
• Been in the lowest peak in being heart broken

2011 is the worst and the best year in my life. I got hurt and I’m healing and I imagine myself this day last year, I’m different, on my perspective on things, my personality, my circle of friends, I’ve changed, really changed. I don’t know if it’s a good kind of change but I’m growing, becoming more mature, much aware of the realities of life, stronger. 

I realize, despite of all the problems I’m facing that I have more things to be thankful for than to be sad about. I thank God for all the blessings and the challenges that turns out to be important life lessons. 

A new year awaits. 2012, I’m ready :)

Merong naiinlove. Merong nasasaktan. Merong iniwan. Merong iiwanan. Meron nang-iwan. Merong mang-iiwan. Merong nakahanap ng bago. Merong hindi pa nakakapag-move on. Merong umaasa. Merong nagpapaasa. Merong di kuntento. Merong kinakaliwa. Merong nanghihinayang. Merong nagsasawa. Merong pinaghiwalay. Merong nagsimula. Merong nagtapos. 

Iba-iba yan. Maaring masaya ka ngayon, pero hindi permanente yan. Sabi nga, ang buhay ay parang gulong, dadating ka rin sa baba. Vice versa. Malungkot ka ngayon, sasaya ka rin.

Walang permanente sa mundo. *bow*
